Gab Astorga (@goodolgab) wins Books and Learning Creator of the Year at the TikTok Awards UK & Ireland

Congratulations to Gabriel Astorga who has won Books and Learning Creator of the Year at the TikTok Awards UK & Ireland 2025 (with headline partner Sky). 

Gab (@goodolgab) is a microbiologist and award-winning science communicator based at the Quadram Institute and University of East Anglia. He has gained more than 400k followers on TikTok, with his videos on life and biology amassing more than 24 million likes.

Accepting the award at a star-studded event last night in London, Gab told the audience: ‘The whole reason I do this is I want to make education equitable’.
