May has been a busy month for Northbank speakers. Here are a few highlights.
Timi Merriman-Johnson (Mr MoneyJar) appeared at the Ideal Home Show in Glasgow. His sessions helped attendees navigate their financial futures through understanding savings accounts, ISAs, and investing. Ahead of the show, he shared his top five tips for young Scots with The Herald.
Kevin Fong gave a keynote talk at System C UserCon 2024 in Birmingham, a conference bringing together System C users from across the healthcare sector.
Kevin’s talk about the importance of teamwork drew on his experience across the NHS, NASA and beyond. Attendees sharing their thoughts on X (formerly Twitter) using #SystemCUserCon2024 described Kevin’s talk as ‘inspiring’, ‘thought-provoking’ and ‘fascinating’.
At London’s Southbank Centre, Zing Tsjeng chaired the panel ‘Long Live Queer Nightlife’ for the launch of Amin Ghaziani’s book of the same name. Amin and Zing were joined by performance artist Tom Rasmussen for a wide-ranging and fascinating discussion on the revolution revitalising urban nightlife.
Rory Cormac gave a keynote address at the NAFD’s (National Association of Funeral Directors) Conference and AGM, held in the historic De Vere Beaumont Estate in Windsor. His insightful talk, and the following conversation with Nick Britten, on Espionage and the Royal Family rounded off their education day. Rory also signed copies of his latest book, How to Stage a Coup.
