Mammoth Screen options TV rights to Neil Samworth’s Strangeways

Mammoth Screen (producers of Poldark, Ordeal by Innocence, Noughts and Crosses and The City and the City) has optioned television rights to Strangeways by Neil Samworth, ‘a jaw-dropping, page-turning account of life in one of the country’s most notorious jails’ from the former prison officer, for a multi-part, returnable television series.

Managing Director Damien Timmer and Head of Business Affairs Melanie Morris acquired rights from James Carroll at Northbank Talent Management with a substantial pre-empt, beating strong competition from other producers ahead of publication on 14 June 2018.
