Hannah Weatherill joins Northbank

Hannah Weatherill, currently a scout at Mira Trenchard Literary Scouting, will join Northbank Talent Management on 15 April as literary agent, representing both fiction and children’s books in the UK, US and foreign language markets. This forms part of a plan to increase the agency’s fiction output on the back of the prolific number of book to screen drama deals which Northbank has concluded in the last year – for its own clients’ work but also on behalf of other literary agencies – for fiction authors including Sunday Times Bestseller Katerina Diamond (Big Talk), Sunday Times Bestseller Kate Thompson (Endemol Shine) and WH Smith fresh talent pick Will Dean (Lionsgate).

Northbank CEO Diane Banks says: ‘Hannah’s experience both as a scout and as a freelance editor and translator has given her an extraordinary command of trends in the commercial fiction market, both in the UK and internationally. This combined with an entrepreneurial attitude makes her the ideal person to take this side of the business forward at an exciting time for the agency.’

Hannah Weatherill says: ‘I’m excited to be making the move into agenting and can’t wait to join the team at Northbank Talent. We have ambitious plans for the agency’s fiction business and I’m really looking forward to working with Northbank’s existing adult and children’s authors as well as seeking out new commercial talent to bring to editors across the world.’
